Buffalo could be really good. Wouldn't be a bit surprised if the SB
comes down to Buffalo and Tampa. I'll consider these two games the Skins
toughest and figure 2 losses. But suddenly, the rest of the AFC East
looks easier and I'm thinking playoffs.

Borrowed from an earlier post be Schmev but with my picks:

W Jets (YES!!!)
at Falcons........I"m thinking W. Easily.
Giants.......home game, **** it W. Giants are good but not great. 99%
of us just *KNOW* this.
New England......W. During the preseason I would have thought loss
here. I was wrong, they ****.
Philadelphia.........L *Maybe not. It's a home game and Philly didn't
look too good. For now L.
Tampa Bay.........L.
at Buffalo.....L.
Dallas.....W
Seattle....L. *Although this game seems very winnable. I'm not buying
all this Holmgren crap yet.
at Carolina......W.
at Miami.........L.*Based on the way they just played, and who's their
QB, another, possible W.
at New Orleans......W.
at NY Giants.....L.
Dallas........W.
at Chicago.......W.
at Philadelphia.....L.

So after week one, I see 9-7, still. Although now I think there is
three games (marked with*) that could make or break it as for the Skins'
reaching the playoffs. I'd guess all they need to do is grab one of them
and they're in.

...........Hmmm, correction, 10-6 baby.

That might look good going into next weekend, but things can change
drastically after Week 2. I'll redo this after the Giants game.

I think New England might have been in a state of shock thanks to losing
such a well respected veteran so close to game 1. That situation was
handled very poorly.

<Snip>

Having Norv as their offensive coordinator should win the game for us.
It worked for Dallas for how many games?

After the raid we pulled on their offense and them losing their QB? I
suppose the Jet offense has to be rated what 28th? Statistics based on
one game are suspect at best. Let's wait a few weeks before thinking of
calling a mechanic to fix up the bandwagon.

A whole new meaning to the term, "Give me 5.".

Actually, It seemed like the only team Norv first got here was Dallas, no
matter how bad we were or how good they were. It just seemed like he knew
their exact weaknesses. But he won't have the luxury of that insight here
though, I believe there is only three people left on this roster from when
he coached and two of them were just getting on the roller-coaster as he was getting off.

Yes it was and I think they will be struggling with this for a few weeks. By
the time they get here, I'm hoping were still riding a wave while they just
getting catching their breath. Philly should beat them next week and then
they have to play the Jets in the Meadow lands.

I see that as a draw right now. The Eagles offense is still in a funk named
Donovan(that's correctable, but how many games will it take?). Their
defense has taken some very significant injuries.

The Eagles offensive line might get knocked around good by the Pats defense.

Overall, I'd say both the Eagles and the Pats are relative unknowns thanks
to very poor play in the first game. I give the Pats the advantage strictly
based on the injuries(and a nagging thought about how well the Pats beat up
the Eagles starting offense in that preseason game).

Pats by 2 is my spread, but the Eagles are favored by 5. I like the Pats
and the points big time.

If Vinnie is still playing, that's an easy win for them.

The thing is New Orleans looked horrible last week. A lot of people think
they're done based on their finish last year and their FA losses.

Philly, man that's tough nut to crack. I really think McNabb should be
reaching his peak right about now and should be able to carry that team by
himself to the playoffs. Of course one there, they would lose because they have
no one for McNabb to throw the ball to. One day Reid will finally realize it's
the talent and not the system; by then, it will be too late.

Too optimistic, but what the heck, you're a fan.

Yep, maybe the Aint's are back. They put too much stock in Brooks IMHO. But,
they have the tools to be a good team. We'll see.

That's something I've never understood about the Eagles. They've got a QB
who is very good and could become great, yet they never seriously have tried
to get a #1 receiver. I find that just incredible. Had they grabbed Coles,
they would be Super Bowl favorites.

I don't know if this is Reid's doing or not. If he is, he's not a very good
GM.

The other problem with the Eagles is their willingness to piddle away talent
on defense. Sure, they've got solid reserves that they can fill the holes
with, but then they have no depth. The talent on their defense has been on a
slow but sure decline for the past few seasons.

But, hey, it's all good for us!

That could have happened for sure.

I think I read somewhere that Milloy and Brady were hanging out watching TV
somewhere when Milloy was cut.
