I just put the word out on CL and asked if anyone knew of any airlines

I wanted to verify the information on Continental’s free transports so I
called. The number for animal transport is 800-575-3335. You have to
wait through the announcement and then you will get a live person! The
one I spoke with was wonderful. Continental IS providing free transport
to the pets of hurricane victims.
Here is what she told me:
Only offered on large jets – no small commuter planes for the animals
You must have a crate. It must be the appropriate size for the animal.
The shipper must have identification from LA, MS or AL.
If the person is traveling with the pet, it must be in under the seat
